The Center of National Defense Education grew out of the department of National Defense Education in 2004. Its duty is to teach national defense education to students of all disciplines and to act as a consulting agency in matters of national security for the Communist Party’s Committee and the Rectorate Board. In addition, the Center takes part in training of other groups, such as the University’s security guards and high school teachers of national defense education in the Mekong Delta.

Total staff: 14, including 13 lecturers who are military officers

Future Plans:

- Increases in the construction budget

- Offering classes on military knowledge as required

- Writing lecture notes for teaching and learning.
