The Department of Physical Education was founded in 1983. It is directly under the University. Its responsibility is to teach physical education to students of all disciplines and to offer an undergraduate program in physical education. The Department manages sport activities, organizes, and trains athletes for the University’s teams to compete in provincial and national competitions.

Scientific research

-   Setting up criteria for selecting undergraduate students talented in physical education.

-   Basic and applied research on physical education.

Future Plans

-   The establishment of the “School of Physical Education”.

-   In-service training courses in physical education for teaching staff who are graduates of sports colleges.

-   Writing lecture notes for specialized classes in physical education.

-   Building a multifunctional gymnasium with 2,000 seats, a football stadium, a 400 meter track and a swimming pool.
