THE NORWEGIAN AMBASSADOR TO VIET NAM

PAID A VISIT TO CTU

On October 8, 2010, The Norwegian Ambassador to Viet Nam, Mr. H.E. Stale Torstein Risa, paid a visit to Can Tho University (CTU). A/Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Rector, A/Prof. Dr. Le Viet Dung – Vice Rector, and other CTU’s key staff members warmly welcomed the Delegation. On this occasion, Rector Nguyen Anh Tuan introduced the Mekong Delta (MD) and CTU’s potentials to the Ambassador. 

 Both sides discussed various issues on higher education such as human resources training, climate change, law, agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries on the basis of mutual understanding. 

 Mr. Stale Torstein Risa highly appreciated the important role of CTU to the socio-economic development of the MD region and expressed his willingness to cooperate with CTU. In return, Rector Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed the good will to cooperate with the Norwegian Embassy and higher education institutions in the months to come.
