The Australian Ambassador's Visit to CTU

CTU- August 26, 2009, Mr. Allaster Edward Cox, Australian Ambassador to Viet Nam paid a visit to Can Tho University (CTU). Dr. Le Viet Dung, Vice Rector welcome the delegation and introduced the CTU.

At present, CTU has cooperated well with Australian partners such as ACIAR, AUSAID. There have been 150 participations of staff have benefited from Australian Scholarship programs. In the scope of Mekong 1000 project, there heve been 60/178 candidates learning in Australian universities.

Mr. Cox also listened to the presentations of Mekong Delta Development Research Institute and Climate Change Institute. He appreciates well the development of the university, especially the successful application of ACIAR project.

After visiting CTU, the ambassador and the delegation will leave for Hoa An biodiversity center to visit some models of ACIAR project.
