British Ambassador to Viet Nam's visit

to Can Tho University

On September 30, 2008, H.E. Mr. Mark Kent, British Ambassador to Viet Nam paid a visit to Can Tho University.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Rector, and staff warmly welcome Mr. Kent and his entourage.

The Ambassador was interested in Mekong 1000 project and its outcomes. He was also happy with the increasing number of MK 1000 students having studied in Britain. Mr. Kent showed his pleasure with the cooperation between Can Tho University and British Council in training English for CTU students and MK 1000 candidates.

Currently, Can Tho University has enhanced the international cooperation with British institutions as well as those of the Common Wealth.  Many official visits of representatives of University of West of England, Keele University, Westminster University, those in Malaysia, Singapore, Canada have been done recently to Can Tho University.

On this occasion, the British Ambassador also invited the Rector of Can Tho University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan to visit the Embassy officially in the future.

British Ambassador to Viet Nam's visit to Can Tho University

Cooperation between Auburn University and Can Tho University (CTU).

On May 27, 2008, The Canadian Ambassador to Viet Nam and Madam visited Can Tho University (CTU).

On June 21, 2008, The International Relations Department held a training session for all the staff about writing proposal.

On May 12, 2008, a delegation of Can Tho University (CTU) attended the workshop namely “ The Second Mission of Canadian Universities to Vietnam”

On May 31, 2008, Can Tho University (CTU) and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) held a German class at the Center for Foreign Languages. The 20 student class opens for CTU staff and Mekong 1000 Candidates to enhance basic knowledge of German. This activity is in a series of events in which CTU cooperates with DAAD.

Can Tho University (CTU) Held the New School Year Ceremony

Rouen University promised to admit the students graduating from bilingual training programs in CTU (Information Technology, Food Technology and Law) for Master courses within the framework of Mekong 1000 Project.

The Coordinator of Sponsored Student Programs of Michigan State Unviersity, had been working with Mekong 1000 Projects.

Can Tho University (CTU)- September 25, 2007- The General Consulate delegation of The United States of America led by General Consul Kenneth J. Fairfax visited Can Tho University

On October 16, 2006, Can Tho University organized an international forum on Globalization and Integration in Higher Education.

The delegation of French Congressmen and Consultate General in Ho Chi Minh City paid a visit to Can Tho University.

Scholarship Awarding Ceremony Texas Tech University, The United States - Can Tho, July 27th , 2006.

The University of Queensland had an introduction session to Mekong 1000 program candidates and Can Tho University staff.
