Formation
In order to satisfy the need of studying the subjects of foreign laws in the program of the formation of the Bachelor of Laws in the most countries in the world, the International Centre of comparative law of the Can Tho University will continue and extend the reception of training international students who want to study one term or one year consisting of two terms. The teaching is in English or in French. The marks are recognized in the country where the students have the long-term courses.
The International Centre of comparative law of Can Tho University also play an intermediary role of organizing the courses reserved for the European businessman who would like to study Asian law in order to guarantee their business, investment activities. Besides, in order to satisfy the need of studying law of the specific field of the Vietnamese jurists, the International Centre of comparative law of Can Tho University will organize the courses of the specific institution of civil, commercial law, etc. For example, studying of contract institution, business law, investment law, marriage who has the foreign elements (property, children,…), private international law. In fact, these short-term courses serve both Vietnamese and foreigners. For the domestic learners, the courses are taught in Vietnamese. For the foreigners, we will teach in English or in French. In order to make the favorable conditions of professional activities of the learners, the Centre record learners’ results and offer the Can Tho University to award the Certificates of these courses.
At first, in August 2006, International Centre of comparative law of Can Tho University will organize one short-term course for five weeks about “European economic law”. This course will be taught in French by the foreign professors. Especially, the Centre will reserve some scholarship for the lecturers, students of AUF (Francophone community) in the world who want to study this course.
Now, the Centre and the School of law of Can Tho University prepare the program of training Master of comparative law. Firstly, we will have the “Master of Vietnamese law” and “comparative law”. These programs will be taught in Vietnamese, in English and in French.
In the future, we will have the lecturer-staff of our school who can teach the special subjects requested by the partner Universities of law.
