From 15 to 17 June, 2009 at the Learning Resources Center of Can Tho University, School of Education (Can Tho University) and Professor John Dirkx (Michigan State University) coorganized the workshop on "Inquiry-based Teaching" (IBT).

There were about 60 participants in the workshop, most of whom were lecturers from different universities, community colleges, vocational schools, and job centers in Tay Nguyen, and the Mekong Delta such as Tien Giang, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau and Can Tho.

The workshop aimed to (1) foster the use of inquiry-based methods in participants' teaching practices and (2) promote professional development and lifelong learning of the workshop participants.
