GUIDELINES FOR THE PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPT
Manuscript submission: Double-spaced manuscripts should be written in English, printed on A4 paper (22—28 cm or 21—29.7 cm) using a standard font (e.g. Times New Roman 12pt).
Contents:
Title: Title should be brief and informative, reflecting the purpose and contents of the study.
Authors and their Affiliations: The full name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliations and address(es) should be provided. Place an asterisk after the corresponding author whose telephone and fax numbers and email address will be given as a footnote. Author affiliations must be given using superscript numerals. Present address(es) of author(s) should also appear as a footnote using superscript alphabet characters.
Abstract: The abstract should briefly state the problem, experimental approach, new results and findings, and the final conclusion, which should not exceed 200 words for Original Articles and Review Articles. Short Papers should not include an abstract. Japanese contributors are requested to provide a Japanese Abstract of no more than 250 letters, which should be printed on a separate sheet.
Key Words: Three to eight descriptive key words should be listed below the abstract. In the case of Short Papers, key words should be listed on the Title Page.
Introduction, Material(s) and Method(s), Result(s), Discussion, References, and Figure captions should follow in an unbroken sequence. Acknowledgments should be typed immediately before the references, when necessary.
Tables and Figures: Tables and figures must be numbered and should be referred to as Table 1 or Fig. 1 etc. Each figure should have a short, precise legend. Tables and Figures should be printed on A4-sized paper.
References: List in alphabetical order. The required elements and reference style for book and journal article are as follows.
For book:

Units and their Abbreviations:
SI units should be used. Units should be written according to the following examples. The plural 's' should not be added to the abbreviated form of a unit. Examples:

Manuscripts on Disk: Manuscript should be submitted as formatted text (MS Word Windows or Macintosh) on disks (FD/CD). The minimum resolution of the figure files should be 300 dpi.
