At Cantho University, Hall 7, College of Agriculture, Cantho City, Vietnam
From the 11-12 of January 2005

Workshop Objectives

As part of Cantho University’s on-going development and in close collaboration with the Danida funded “Cantho University – University of Aarhus Link in Environmental Science Project” (CAULES) we want to develop a Research Action Plan for the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Management (DENRM) and subsequently the new Environment Institute, which is in the development stage at Cantho University. We would like to focus on the major environmental problems for the Mekong Delta now and in the future.
We are inviting key speakers from several important organisations and institutions working in the Mekong Delta to discuss the environmental status and suggest research areas for the DENRM and new Environment Institute that are important for the future of the Mekong Delta. In addition we would like to discuss and develop future research collaborations.
